The Revolution

The Revolution
I am a trench woman
I touch the untouched
I hug the unhugged
Kiss the unkissed
and listen to those unheard
I am a revolution of ONE.
Resurrection
I am masked
full bodied
encased
without grace
let me
disentangle
dawning the zebra
of my unicorn
and crystallize
the rainbow of
the Robin Hood path
to unpair the despair
It's me, God
"It's me, God"
I skipped and tripped
danced and pranced
rumbled and tumbled
over my papers upon papers
of documented talent
the whirlwind of me approached
the Throne.
"THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU"
I praised eternity that sat before me.
"It's meeeeeee, God. Thank you for
all of the giftedness you gave me
the poetry, the poems, the prayers
the plays, the ghettotales
they are here with me in heaven
I lay them exuberantly humbly at your feet.
Eternity leaned toward me
from the Throne of Grace
inside me He whispered
"why did you bring these things here
to heaven with you?
you were suppose to leave these gifts
on the otherside of the river jordan
not bring them with you to heaven"

I WOKE UP, DRENCHED
IN THE SWEAT OF MY OWN
TEARS.
Inhale, Exhale
Inhale, exhale,
my pinky awaits.
I must find my Walden Pond,
the wilderness calls me,
the ocean knows my name
