Bitter Herbs

Pathological
she has a
pathological disease
and it is...
men
Bitter Herbs
she forced herself
to eat the taste of paper
shaped like macaroni and cheese
the cardboard meatloaf
had texture but no flavor
she sipped the ice cold
lemonade
savoring the
bitter herbs of loneliness
for somehow she must
keep her strength
The Menu
she ordered,
"don't worry me with
nothings, bringing me
salad bowls of politically
correctiveness.
bring me," she demanded,
"some love with some
meat on it."
Poemomatic
June ended
but was not
suspended
now July waits
to take the bait
The Poetess
the never never she-poet
writes for ever ever
and the forever ever
she-poet always poems
between the happily ever afters
she poems between the
discords of life
leaving the maestro speechless
but the orchestra plays on
tuning their instruments as they go
The 77th Commandment
don't
ever stop
saying
i love you
and
don't
ever
stop
loving
the
saying
The Day the Ocean Looked Back
"yes"
said the
naysayer
causing
the ocean
to look
over
her shoulder
and
reverse
her tides
Double-double Negative
or Beware a Woman's Pen
or I Brought My Own
i remember when
women weren't allowed
to read or pen
so hear me now
or read me later
I
won't
not
write
because
I
won't
not
right
for
it
is
my
rite
to
write
rights
do you hear me?
or
shall I write it
up for you?
a pen?
no thank you
I brought my own
