Why am I really here?
I've lived the underdog--last one picked,
overlooked,
dismissed as a hopeless cause.
It's the worst feeling in the world.
Especially when you know
you have something to offer.
How do you know?
Because God says so.
And it's always been
to His say so
that I have clung
prompted by three obsessions:

Obsession One: No matter what anyone says: I am made in God's image.(Genesis 1:27)
Obsession Two: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Phillipians 4:13)
Obsession Three: All things work together for good for those who love the Lord and for those that are called according to His purpose.(Romans 8:28)

All things,
not just Sunday things,
not just a few things,
not just a one time deal.

This is not an entitlement based on race, gender, socio-economics or place of worship. Therein lies my drive, my strength, my obsessions, my staying power, my hope. An obsession that cloaks me, a mantle I wear, a super cape I don as I lift chins of the downtrodden, as I rock the unrocked, as I hug the unhugged, and as I kiss the unkissed and I listen to the unheard.

I must
ignite
a nation
with an
epidemic of
hope.
