Kerplunk!
love appeared
wihout warning
without a hint
or shadow of a
forshadowing
it just
kerplunked!!!
i had not even
woke up
good from
my nap and
kerplunk!!!
there it was
a rooster
with a high
peacock shine
and toucan nose
with 8 barnacled
legs, wrapping
me around his finger
kerplunk!
real gentle
like the whisper
of a windless day
full of anticipation
of the smell of rain---
kerplovenk!
the first drop
hit the dry earth
and sizzled
